We know that e-bikes can ride longer distances, maintain higher speeds and have the greater climbing ability, but do riders really still get their exercise? That’s why many riders struggle with whether to buy electric assist or not.
Actually, It’s all about reason and intent. Some riders enjoy riding without E-assist. They feel that it’s a challenge to try and improve their average MPH and improve the distance they ride. Whenever they have a good ride, they take pride in doing it without assistance. It’s a feeling of accomplishment.
For me, I recommend E-assist because you won’t be limited to just flat riding. I added E-assist for a long time and I get as much or more exercise than before but have more fun and don’t have to strain my knees going up hills. E-assist has different levels, the first being one so you don’t have to use it all the time. I very seldom use the throttle (not all E-assists have a throttle) except when it is required to start or get over an obstacle. It does help save the knees at times.
In fact, it is always an option. You can try riding without E-assist. It is great If you’re enjoying it. If not, you’ll know when it’s time to upgrade to E-assist.
Motrike all models can be equipped with e-assist, here you can check the brand motors and batteries we are supplying.
